However, our goal is not merely to win awards.
We are dedicated to producing sake that can only be made in Shimane Prefecture and working with sincerity to create drinks that people will enjoy and say, “This is delicious.”

The World Whiskies Awards (WWA) is a global whiskey competition organized by Paragraph Publishing, the publisher of the UK-based whiskey magazine “Whisky Magazine.”
It started in 2001 as the “Best of the Best” event, held every two years. In 2007, it was renamed the WWA and became an annual event.
The competition is known for its blind tasting process, where judges evaluate whiskey without knowing the brand. This method has been in place since the “Best of the Best” days.
WWA is recognized as the pinnacle of whiskey competitions, with rigorous judging and immense trust from whiskey makers and fans worldwide.

The International Spirits Challenge (ISC) is one of the world’s three major spirits competitions and is considered the most prestigious in the world. It is held annually in London and is organized by Drinks International, a UK-based publisher specializing in alcoholic beverages.
The competition is divided into categories such as whiskey, rum, brandy, and liqueurs. Each category undergoes a rigorous blind tasting by distinguished experts. Awards are given out based on the results of these tastings, with Trophies (category’s highest award), Double Gold, Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals being awarded.
In the whiskey category, the judging panel consists of master blenders, distillery managers, and other whiskey experts from around the world, ensuring that the competition is highly regarded within the spirits industry globally.

The International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) was founded in 1969 by Anton Massel, a grape grower and wine researcher, in the UK with the goal of improving the quality of alcoholic beverages and contributing to market expansion.
The competition divides products into categories such as wine, spirits, whiskey, and liqueurs, and the judging process is carried out based on blind tastings by renowned judges from around the world, along with chemical analysis for evaluation.
Awards are given for each category, including Gold, Silver, and Bronze. Among the Gold award winners, the Gold Outstanding award (Highest Gold) is given to those deemed particularly exceptional.
This competition is considered one of the “three major global liquor competitions,” along with ISC and SFWSC, and is regarded as one of the most prestigious spirits competitions in the world.

Kura Master is a Japanese sake competition held in France since 2017, specifically aimed at the French public.
The judging panel consists primarily of Europeans, including holders of the prestigious MOF (Meilleur Ouvrier de France) title, which certifies the highest craftsmanship, as well as top sommeliers, bartenders, and cavists from France’s finest hotels, specialists in alcoholic beverages, and professionals from the restaurant and food industry, such as restaurant owners, chefs, and culinary school representatives.
While many sake competitions exist around the world, Kura Master emphasizes the pairing of food and beverages, a key aspect of French culinary history.

The Milano Sake Challenge is Italy’s largest sake competition, held annually in Milan since 2019. Milan, known as a hub of gourmet food and design, hosts this prestigious event.
The competition is judged primarily by Italian sake sommeliers selected from those certified by the Sake Sommelier Association Italiana, with additional judges including renowned Italian designers for the design assessment and experts in pairing sake with Italian cuisine. This competition stands out with its unique judging process, which includes not only tasting but also design and food-pairing evaluations, showcasing the versatility and depth of Japanese sake.
The event aims to expand awareness of sake in Europe, particularly Italy, where rice cultivation is prominent, and to highlight the compatibility of sake with Italian food. It also seeks to promote the richness and broad appeal of Japanese sake, sharing its wonders with the world.
